The same parts fit every version in the "Also covers" list, so check your plate against it before you order.

Finding the model number
Check the plate before you buy anything: a Shark name on the box can cover more than one version. The model number is on a rating label on the back or underside of the main unit, also near the barcode on the bottom of the box and on the front cover of the instruction booklet. On Lift-Away uprights look on the pod/body.

When to change them
Only rinse a filter the maker says is washable, and let it dry right through before it goes back in. Most of the "it smells" complaints start with a damp filter.
You'll know the battery's going when a full charge stops lasting a whole clean. It happens slowly and creeps up on you.
Cutting out early isn't always the battery. A blocked filter or wand can do the same, and clearing it costs nothing.
